Students are highly encouraged and supported in their teaching and performing. Many maintain private studios of their own, work toward their Suzuki certification, participate in educational programming with the Greenwood School of Music Preparatory Academy, and volunteer as part of the Young Person Concert series with the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts. Students have the opportunity to study chamber music in a variety of instrumentations including the traditional string quartet. Performance opportunities are numerous and include weekly studio class, the noon concert series at the Edmond Low Library, weekly recital hour, required degree recitals, visiting artist masterclasses (such as with members of the NY Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra), and incidental events.

The Viola Studio at Oklahoma State University is taught by Dr. Jackie Skara.
