B.S. Journalism '86, B.A. Spanish '86
Carol Ringrose Alexander graduated from OSU in 1986 with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in journalism with honors. She earned a master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College in 1987, completing the majority of her studies in Madrid.
Currently the Executive Vice President of Retirement Investment Advisors in the Oklahoma City office, Alexander became a financial advisor in2000. To better help her clients plan for the future, she also obtained the Certified Financial Planner, Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst certifications.
Following graduation, Alexander worked as a reporter and columnist for The Journal Record newspaper, public relations director for Presbyterian Health Foundation and director of development for Casady School. A graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City and member of Leadership Oklahoma Class 32, she was a Journal Record Woman of the Year 50 Making a Difference honoree in 2010 and 2012 and the NSFRE Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 1999. She serves on the boards of Science Museum Oklahoma, Lyric Theatre, KidsAlive and Classen School of Advanced Studies PTSA.
She married CAS alumnus Kerry Alexander, who proposed at sunrise overlooking Machu Picchu in Peru. They have four sons.
