Vicki Baker, M.D., MPH

B.S. Psychology '79

Vicki Cooper Baker graduated from Oklahoma State University with a 1979 Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology. While at OSU, she participated in varsity gymnastics and cheerleading. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, earning a Master’s of Public Health and then attended medical school at OU, graduating in 1985. She received the Solomon Papper Humane Scholarship Award for recognition of her scholarly concern for people during medical school and graduated with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

 

Baker did her training in internal medicine and then medical oncology. She has been in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a board-certified medical oncologist since 1990. She has previously worked out of St. John Medical Center, with outreach clinics in Muskogee and Bartlesville. She is currently practicing at Saint Francis and in Tahlequah at Northeastern Health System. She has been selected as one of the Best Doctors of America annually since 2005.

 

Baker is the mother of two OSU grads: Molly, who is a neonatal intensive care nurse, and Rob, who is a petroleum geologist.
