Tracy Harlow, Walmart’s vice president of corporate communications, is an accredited business communicator with 30 years of corporate experience. Tracy is responsible for overseeing external and internal communications strategies that support Walmart’s U.S. business and their 1.6 million associates, developing company narratives and protecting the company's reputation.
Prior to this role, Tracy served for three years as vice president of Walmart’s global communications, specifically digital strategy and brand engagement. She was responsible for developing and delivering integrated, digital engagement strategies for campaigns designed to enhance Walmart’s reputation and connect audiences to the business strategy. Tracy also served two years as vice president of global internal communications and was responsible for enabling Walmart’s success and associate reputational advocacy by connecting 2.3 million associates worldwide to the business, the business to associates and associates to each other through effective internal communication.
Before joining Walmart in 2011, Tracy led communications functions in the energy industry for 14 years with ConocoPhillips and Williams. She also built communications strategies in the telecom and health insurance industries.
Tracy serves as immediate past board chair for Northwest Arkansas’ Girls on the Run and is actively engaged with the Alzheimer's Association. Tracy and her husband, Scot — also an OSU graduate — live in Bentonville, Arkansas, and have two children: Hayden, age 25, and Josie, age 21. They enjoy spending weekends and summers at Table Rock Lake and returning to Stillwater to cheer on the Pokes!
