Will Joyce

2018 Distinguished Alumni

B.A. English '01

Will Joyce grew up in Stillwater, graduating from Stillwater High School and Oklahoma State University. He and his wife, Rachelle, then spent 10 years in St. Louis, where he earned a law degree from Washington University, before returning home in 2011. Joyce was elected to his first four-year term as mayor of Stillwater in April 2018, after serving for two years on the City Council. As mayor, he is committed to engaging all members of the community to maintain Stillwater's positive momentum and expand opportunities for growth, renewal and civic involvement.

In his day job, Joyce serves as General Counsel at InterWorks, a Stillwater-based, global technology consulting firm. He has been a member and past president of the Board of Directors at the Oklahoma WONDERtorium, a local children’s museum, and serves on the Stewardship and Finance Committee at University Heights Baptist Church. He was recognized as an Emerging Leader Under 40 by the Young Professionals of Stillwater in 2014, and his family was named the 2017 Stillwater YMCA Family of the Year by the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. Joyce’s free time is usually spent helping out with youth sports teams, proofreading book reports, and taking an occasional bike ride.
