B.S. Language Arts, '69

A Pine Bluff, Arkansas native, Lowell received a B.S. degree in Language Arts from OSU in 1969. While a student at OSU, Lowell was a member of OSU’s Army ROTC program, the OSU Marching Band and a charter member of Zeta Theta chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.

 

After graduating from OSU, Lowell served two years of active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army, including service in Vietnam. After his military service, Lowell received a M.A. degree in English from Tennessee State University in 1972 and then went on to receive a J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1977.

 

After more than thirty-five years of employment in the area of corporate law with Texas Instruments, Boeing, FDIC and Nortel, Lowell retired in 2011. He and his wife, Margaret (also an OSU alum), currently reside in Highland Village, Texas. Both were charter members of the OSU Black Alumni Society in 1989 and both have been actively involved in supporting the goals and objectives of the OSUBAS as well as the goals and objectives of OSU in general.
