B.S. Microbiology '98, D.O., '03

Brian McDowell, D.O., graduated from OSU in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. The Kingfisher, Oklahoma, native served as an off campus student association representative to the Student Government Association and worked at Edmon Low Library during his time in Stillwater.

 

McDowell attended medical school at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2003. He completed his residency at Saint Francis Children’s Hospital through the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, serving as the chief resident. McDowell owns and operates Owasso Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, a full-service, extended hours pediatric clinic. He opened the practice in July of 2007. The practice includes five medical providers serving newborns to young adults. Dr. McDowell also has privileges at many area hospitals after serving on multiple peer-review committees.

 

McDowell enjoys serving families and children of his community as Santa in the Owasso Christmas parade. He is also an avid OSU fan, as he and his wife, Lindsay, are members of the POSSE club and lifetime members of the OSU Alumni Association.
