B.S. Communication Sciences and Disorders '74

Jill Dimond Moore graduated from OSU in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology. She received her master's in speech pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Cetner and her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

 

Since 2001, Moore has been working at Integris Southwest Medical Center where she has increased the number of full-time speech pathology positions and developed the tool that screens for swallowing disorders, which helped to drastically drop the mortality rate of stroke patients.

 

Moroe established the Jill Dimond Moore Endowed Scholarship for Speech Pathology for OSU's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been on mission trips to Peru with her church where she has done communication disorders evaluations. She also enjoys quilting and has received several awards for her quilts.
