Vinit Verma

Vinit received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University ‘87, and a B.S. (Physics, Chemistry, Math) from the University of Delhi ‘84. He has published research in the field of Temporal Databases, and 3D Printing applications. Vinit has Silicon Valley consulting experience with HP, Sun Microsystems and networking & insurance companies. He has delivered industry presentations on innovation in bricks and mortar organizations and for the U.S. Department of Defense engagement on innovation. His interests include research work with MIT on collaborative innovation networks.
During his 25 years at ExxonMobil, Vinit has held a variety of global computing positions supporting the Exploration Company, R&D organizations, Chemical manufacturing organization, Fuels Retail Operations and Upstream Financials. Extensive experience with IT service delivery via global business support centers. Vinit has served as the IT Audit Manager for ExxonMobil. As founder of techSpring innovation, he has a passion for the process of innovation. Vinit is currently the Manager – Analytics ExxonMobil Information Technology based in Houston, TX. The Analytics organization strives to create significant digital analytics advantage across the integrated hydrocarbon value chain for ExxonMobil.
Vinit’s family includes wife Vidhi (also attended OSU), son Rohan (works at Marsh & McLennan), and daughter Isha (works at Merck Pharmaceuticals). In way of hobbies, Vinit enjoys running, yoga and gardening. He is actively engaged with OSU via the Alumni association, and served as ExxonMobil IT Recruiting Team Captain for on-campus recruiting at OSU. Go Cowboys!
