Vance Winningham

Vance Winningham graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order at Westminster College and OSU. He received his Juris Doctor degree from OU’s College of Law. Winningham served three years each in the Oklahoma National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. He is the founder of Winningham Stein & Basey, Oklahoma’s oldest and largest immigration law firm. Winningham accepted his first immigration case while in Tripoli Libya on business following Muammar Gaddafi’s 1969 Coup d’état.
Winningham has served on the American Immigration Lawyers Association in multiple capacities including as president of the Texas/Oklahoma/New Mexico chapter. He was a member of the founding board of trustees of the American Immigration Lawyers Foundation, now the American Immigration Council in Washington D.C. Winningham is currently listed in “The Best Lawyers in America” in the field of immigration and has been listed as such for 27 years. He lives in Ardmore, Oklahoma, with his wife, Dee Ann, and works in the firm’s main office in Oklahoma City.
