Abby O’Dell — a speech-language pathologist and certified breastfeeding specialist — graduated from OSU in 2013 with her bachelor's degree from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She was then accepted into the OSU speech-language pathology master’s program, graduating in 2015 with a 4.0 GPA.
Abby holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language
Hearing Association and has received multiple Awards for Continuing Education (ACE).
Since 2015, Abby has worked as needed for Stillwater Medical as a speech pathologist,
and in 2017, she and her husband Blake opened Stillwater’s Advanced Therapy Solutions.
Opening the outpatient speech and language clinic was a dream of Abby’s after seeing
a need for additional quality care in the Stillwater community. Abby started as the
sole practitioner with a focus on providing the best evidence-based therapy for her
patients, centered on their individual needs. Abby has since grown to 14 therapists
and staff members, with offerings that now include occupational therapy and lymphedema
services.
Abby’s eagerness to learn and passion for her field has led her to complete several
specialty trainings and certifications in many areas. These have included SOS Approach
to Feeding, Responsive Feeding Therapy, McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP),
AmpCare neuromuscular electrical stimulation, Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol
(K-SLP), Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and SPEAK OUT! Parkinson's treatment
program. Abby uses her education and continued training to provide quality, evidence-based
therapy for her patients.
