More about the certificate

The Audiology Assistant Certificate allows students who are interested in audiology to work as an Audiology Assistant (AudA) during college, in preparation for grad school, or as a full-time career. As a college degree isn't required to work as an Audiology Assistant, the certificate can be taken separately from a bachelor's degree. OSU students who are already majoring in CDIS only need to add Clinical Methods in Audiology in order to earn this certificate. As the only AudA program in Oklahoma, this certificate equips students to complete supervised clinical hours and to receive their AudA ASHA certification through the C-AA exam.

Certificate Courses

The certificate can be taken by students who aren't pursuing a bachelor's degree as well as undergraduate students in any major. The program requires 16 credits of coursework outlined below. The program can be completed in four semesters while working full-time or studying in another field. Classes are all online and typically taken in a sequence of four semesters, followed by an in-person off-campus internship. Credit from in-person equivalent courses can be applied to the certificate. CDIS majors need only add the practicum credits to complete the certificate with their degree.
