Post-Baccalaureate Certificate
The Communication Sciences and Disorders Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is designed for students who have majored in another field but want to apply to a graduate program in speech-language pathology or audiology and/or work as a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA). After the completion of a bachelor’s degree in another field and the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, students will fulfill the pre-requisites needed for a majority of speech-language pathology and audiology graduate programs, as well as the basic science requirements mandated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). All applicants to OSU's master's program must complete three courses (Phonetics, Anatomy and Physiology, and Communication Disorders in Children) before/while applying for admission.
Coursework can be completed in less than two years either in-person on the Stillwater campus or online, or students may take courses over a longer period while working or completing a bachelor's in another field.
