Bio

My research interests focus on the American military in the late nineteenth century through the First World War, examining the development and professionalization of the United States Army, especially when compared to developments in Europe. I have also written pieces examining the role, training and development on American artillery during the First World War. My teaching passion is for American history, specifically with a focus on 20th Century history and American participation in global and foreign wars
