Sam Walgren is an MA Public History student whose research focuses on War and Society and the American Civil War. He received his BA from the University of Tennessee at Martin in history with a minor in English. He is currently finishing his master's thesis, which explores the motivations of Middle Tennessee Confederates during the Civil War. While finishing his degree, Sam currently teaches 7th grade U.S. history and government at a private school in Oklahoma City.
