Call for Applications for Associate Director
The role of Associate Director of the Center for the Humanities supports the Director and the Center as a whole. The Associate Director will work with the Director to plan events, develop materials, oversee work study students, and participate in strategic planning.

Regular meetings with Director (weekly or bi-monthly)
Lead monthly meetings of the Advisory Committee
Contribute to development and planning of events
Develop materials/advertising for events, newsletters text, etc.
Oversee work study student(s)
Attend Humanities Research Fellows meetings
Attend CH events; facilitate hosting visiting speakers
Brainstorm improvements to infrastructure, organization, etc.
Contribute to future programs/strategic planning

Additional duties may include:

Fundraising-related work (preparing materials, sending email/communication, etc.)
Grants research or preparation
Outreach to campus groups/departments or community organizations

Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week

Compensation: For the academic year, the Associate Director will receive $3000 for research/travel.

Eligibility: Tenured associate or full professor from the College of Arts and Sciences

Preferred: Departmental affiliation with English, History, Languages and Literatures, or Philosophy; faculty from Interdisciplinary Programs or Arts departments will also be considered

Preferred: previous experience with the Center of the Humanities programs or activities.
