Curriculum and Training

Electives

  • MLSC 2130 – Physical Fitness (1 Credit Hours)
  • MLSC 2122 – ROTC Basic Camp (Ft Knox, KY) (2 Credit Hours)
  • MLSC 4014 – ROTC Advanced Camp (Ft Knox, KY) (4 Credit Hours)
  • MLSC 4422 – The Tactical Planning Process (2 Credit Hours) – This class is for seniors and completion cadets only

Military History Courses (Commissioning Requirement)

Note: Course offerings may change each semester. Students must consult with PMS for permission to take a history course not listed.

  • HIST 4353 – American Military History (H)
  • HIST 3333 – History of the Second World War (HI)

Extra-Curricular Programs

Take advantage of all ROTC has to offer!

  • ROTC Clubs—Color Guard, Desert Rangers, Ranger Challenge, Scabbard & Blade (ROTC's Honor Society)
  • Home Football Game Day—Push-Up Board, Pack-Howitzer Cannon Crew
  • Summer Training Opportunities—Professional internships, airborne, air assault, combat survival, mountain warfare and cadet troop leadership training.
  • CLIP-B is an incentive program for contracted cadets to become proficient in DOD designated critical languages. Cadets can earn the CLIP Bonus by earning a grade of B or better in college strategic language courses or associated cultural studies. Earn up to $3,000 per academic year!
  • Project GO (Global Officers) is a collaborative initiative that promotes critical language education, study abroad and intercultural dialogue opportunities for ROTC students. Project GO programs focus exclusively on the languages and countries of the Middle East, Asia, Central Asia and Africa.
