Concert Chorale is an auditioned mixed ensemble of approximately 30-40 singers. Composed
of various majors throughout the university community, it is the premier singing ensemble
at Oklahoma State University. Concert Chorale presents several concerts each year,
records for music publishers, and hosts guest conductors and composers. Past guests
include composers Ēriks Ešenvalds, Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo, and Jake Runestad.
Concerts also feature international vocalists such as Sarah Coburn and Leona Mitchell.
Concert Chorale has performed at the Southwest Division of the American Choral Directors
Association (ACDA) and the National ACDA conference. The ensemble has toured France,
England, Italy, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, where they performed in
some of Europe’s most prestigious venues. Chorale joins with other OSU choral ensembles
to perform major works with orchestra each year. Last fall, the ensemble performed
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at the McKnight Center. In the spring of
2023, Chorale will join University Singers and the OSU Symphony Orchestra for a performance
of Luigi Cherubini’s Requiem in C Minor for the annual OSU President’s Masterworks Concert.
