- What do I wear for a headshot photo?
- This varies depending on your department or team expectations. We encourage business casual or business professional attire. And don’t forget a pop of orange!
- How long do photo shoots take?
- We schedule typical photo shoots in 30- or 60-minute sessions. Special situations, like events, can be scheduled for longer shoots.
- Photo shoot session times depend on several factors, such as the type of photo shoot, the location(s) for posed shots, amount of people being photographed, and lighting, e.g. sunlight, built-in location lighting, or studio lights set up by the photographer.
- If the location and lighting are already decided and prepped, an individual headshot can take as little as 30 seconds!
- Note: Photo shoots on-location may require additional set-up time. Consider this when coordinating with the photographer.
- How do I pose?
- The photographer will offer suggestions and direction if needed.
- For those wondering what to do with their hands while posing, think about where your hands naturally go when they’re relaxed. Imagine you’re holding an invisible object, such as a pen or sunglasses, and then relax your hands into roughly that space.
- How will I receive photos, and in what format?
- We’ll send you a link to download JPG photos in two sizes.
- One will be “Fullsize”, which means the photo is high-resolution, generally large enough for printing purposes.
- The other size is for use on the OSU website, or for sharing by email or social media.
- OTher sizes and adjustments are available upon request.
