Beckman Scholars Application
Program eligibility criteria and application components are below. Students targeting Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. programs who do not have prior research experience are especially welcome to apply.
Program Eligibility
- Undergraduate Oklahoma State University student
- Full-time enrollment throughout the duration of the award
- Good academic standing
- Enrolled in a degree program within one of these OSU departments:
- Chemistry
- Integrative Biology
- Microbiology and Molecular Genetics
- Physics
- U.S. Citizen, or Permanent Resident, or DACA recipient.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Plans to pursue PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree; or other scientific path
The selection committee will apply a holistic review
of all eligible applicants.

Process and Timeline
- Application review will begin after the deadline on February 19, 2024.
- Applicants who are selected for the interview round will be notified in March.
- Interviews will take place in late March.
- The 2024-2025 OSU Beckman Scholars will be announced in April.
