Communication Sciences and Disorders, B.S.
The communication sciences and disorders program gives you an in-depth study of speech, language, hearing processes and background orientation about disorders of communication. The bachelor’s degree is pre-professional and, therefore, preparatory to various graduate professional degrees in the clinical sciences.
Program Overview Courses Finish in Four PlanMinor in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Our minor is offered for students who are interested to know more about the professions of SLP and Audiology. The minor is also intended to benefit students who are receiving training in early childhood education, special education, or trainee teachers to know more about speech and language development and disorders. This will help them to identify kids with speech and language deficits in their classes and make appropriate referrals to SLP and audiologists.
MinorPost-Baccalaureate Certificate
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is designed for students who are interested in applying to a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. After the completion of a bachelor’s degree in another field and the Post-Bac Certificate, students will fulfill the prerequisites needed for a majority of Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology graduate programs, as well as the basic science requirements mandated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
